Terms, Limitations and Reliance

Important information about Altivis UAV surveys, visual inspections and property reporting services.

These terms explain the basis on which Altivis provides UAV roof reviews, aerial property inspection support, visual reporting and property intelligence services.

By requesting a survey, instructing Altivis or relying on an Altivis report, the client acknowledges that the service is visual, non-invasive and subject to the limitations set out below.

Nature of the Service

Altivis provides professional UAV image capture, structured visual review and report-based property intelligence.

Altivis reports are prepared from visible evidence captured from accessible external viewpoints using UAV imagery and supporting information provided by the client where relevant.

The service is designed to support visible condition review, maintenance planning, contractor discussion, insurance conversation, property decision-making and further specialist investigation where appropriate.

Visual and Non-Invasive Limitation

Altivis UAV surveys are visual and non-invasive.

 

Altivis does not open up, dismantle, test, probe, lift, remove or disturb any part of the property, roof covering, structure, service, fitting or building fabric.

 

Observations are limited to what is visible from the UAV imagery and accessible external viewpoints at the time of survey.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Not a Structural or Building Survey

Altivis reports do not constitute a structural survey, building survey, valuation, warranty, guarantee, insurance assessment, invasive investigation or substitute for specialist professional advice.

 

Altivis does not provide structural engineering advice, building surveying advice, legal advice, valuation advice or roofing contractor diagnosis.

 

Where further investigation is recommended, the client should consult an appropriately qualified roofer, building surveyor, structural engineer, heritage specialist, insurer or other relevant professional.

 

Hidden or Obscured Defects

Some defects may be hidden, internal, intermittent, covered, shaded, obscured, inaccessible or not visible from UAV imagery.

Weather, lighting, access, distance, angle, surface condition, vegetation, debris, neighbouring structures, privacy constraints and image clarity may affect the level of confidence in observations.

Altivis cannot guarantee that all defects, risks or maintenance requirements will be identified.

Report Reliance

Unless agreed otherwise in writing, Altivis reports are prepared for the named client, property and instruction only.

Reports should not be treated as a guarantee of property condition and should not be relied upon as the sole basis for purchase, sale, insurance, legal, structural, safety-critical or major financial decisions.

Third parties should not rely on an Altivis report unless Altivis has agreed this in writing.

Client Responsibilities

The client is responsible for providing accurate property details, contact information, access information, known hazards and any relevant background information.

The client must ensure they have appropriate authority to request a UAV survey of the property or site.

Where relevant, the client should inform occupiers, neighbours, tenants, site managers, facilities teams or other stakeholders that a UAV survey request is being considered or arranged.

Survey Suitability and Confirmation

All UAV survey requests are provisional until reviewed and confirmed by Altivis.

Survey activity is subject to suitable weather, safe access, permissions, airspace considerations, privacy, public safety, property constraints, environmental factors and operational risk assessment.

Altivis may decline, amend, postpone or cancel a survey where the site, conditions or operating environment are not suitable.

Weather, Access and Rescheduling

UAV surveys may need to be rescheduled because of wind, rain, visibility, poor lighting, unsafe access, unsuitable take-off or landing areas, excessive public activity, airspace restrictions or other operational considerations.

Where a survey is rescheduled for operational reasons, Altivis will work with the client to agree a suitable alternative date.

Pricing and Payment

All prices shown on the website are indicative unless confirmed in writing.

Final pricing depends on property size, roof complexity, location, access, survey scope, reporting requirements, add-ons, urgency and operational suitability.

Any quotation or scope confirmation will set out the agreed service, indicative price, report level and any known add-ons.

Cancellation

Cancellation and rescheduling terms will be confirmed as part of the survey instruction or quotation process.

Where consumer cancellation rights apply, Altivis will handle cancellation requests in accordance with applicable UK consumer requirements.

If a client asks Altivis to begin work, planning, travel, survey activity or report preparation within a cancellation period, any applicable cancellation position may depend on the work already started or completed.

Images and Report Use

Images and reports supplied by Altivis are provided for the agreed client purpose.

The client may use the report for personal property review, maintenance planning, contractor discussion, insurance conversation or internal decision-making, subject to the limitations on reliance.

Altivis may retain survey images, notes and report materials for record-keeping, quality assurance, service improvement and legitimate business purposes.

Privacy and Data

Personal information submitted through the website or survey process is handled in accordance with the Altivis Privacy Policy.

Clients should avoid submitting unnecessary personal, sensitive or third-party information unless it is relevant to the survey request.

No Repair Services

Altivis does not undertake roofing repairs and does not sell remedial building work.

Any repair, replacement, access, scaffolding, intrusive investigation or specialist assessment should be arranged with an appropriately qualified contractor or professional advisor.

Changes to Services or Terms

Altivis may update services, packages, prices, report formats, limitations and website terms from time to time.

The terms applicable to a specific instruction will be those confirmed at the point of instruction or quotation, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
