Compliance and Operator Assurance
Professional UAV operation, risk-aware planning and clear client assurance.
Professional UAV operation, risk-aware planning and clear client assurance.
Altivis recognises that UAV inspection is not simply a matter of capturing aerial imagery. Each survey request must be considered in relation to the property, surrounding airspace, access conditions, people, nearby structures, weather, privacy, environmental factors and operational suitability.
Before confirming a survey, Altivis reviews the proposed location and operating context to ensure the work can be planned safely, legally and proportionately.
Operator Assurance
CAA A2 Certificate of Competency
Altivis UAV operations are supported by a CAA A2 Certificate of Competency, demonstrating remote pilot competency for relevant categories of UK drone operation.
Article 16 Authorisation
Operations are supported by Article 16 Authorisation, where applicable, providing an additional recognised operating framework for certain UAV activities.
£5,000,000 Public Liability Insurance
Altivis holds £5,000,000 Public Liability Insurance, providing additional assurance for clients, property owners and site stakeholders.
UK CAA Operational Guidance Awareness
UAV activity is planned with awareness of current UK Civil Aviation Authority UAS operational guidance and recognised industry best practice.
What This Means for Clients

Professional UAV Planning
Each survey request is reviewed before confirmation to ensure the proposed work is appropriate for the property, site conditions and operating environment.

Risk-Aware Survey Confirmation
Site access, weather, nearby people, property, obstacles, airspace considerations and operating constraints are reviewed before survey activity is agreed.

Appropriate Insurance
Public Liability Insurance provides additional assurance for clients, property owners and relevant site stakeholders.

Clear Operating Boundaries
UAV surveys remain subject to suitable weather, access, permissions, visibility, public safety, airspace considerations and operational risk assessment.

Independent Evidence
Altivis does not undertake roofing repairs or sell remedial building work. The focus is independent visual evidence, structured observations and practical reporting.
Client Responsibilities
Clients should ensure that they have the appropriate authority to request a survey of the property or site.
Where relevant, clients should inform occupiers, neighbours, site managers, tenants, facilities teams or other stakeholders that a UAV survey request is being considered or arranged.
Altivis may request additional information before confirming a survey, including access details, site constraints, known hazards, parking arrangements, property ownership or permission details.
When a Survey May Not Proceed
A survey may be declined, rescheduled or amended where conditions are unsuitable. This may include adverse weather, restricted access, unsuitable take-off or landing areas, excessive public activity, airspace constraints, privacy concerns, site hazards or other operational risks.
Visual, Non-Invasive Reporting
Altivis reports are based on visible evidence captured from accessible external viewpoints. Reports are designed to support visible condition review, maintenance planning, contractor discussion and client decision-making.
Altivis reports do not constitute a structural survey, building survey, valuation, warranty, guarantee, invasive investigation or substitute for specialist professional advice.
Request a Survey
Submit a survey request and Altivis will review the location, access, weather, airspace considerations and operational requirements before confirming whether a UAV survey is suitable.
